Mark R. Posted April 13, 2007 Report Share Posted April 13, 2007 How do roll a custom kernel into a distro CD/DVD? Any kernel beyond 2.6.12 freezes my computer. I want to install Mandriva 2007, but don't want to modify the kernel after it's installed. I had no luck with that before. I just want it to be built into the CD. ianw1974 Posted April 13, 2007 Report Share Posted April 13, 2007 Have you tried using the various parameters to get it booting like: linux noapic linux noapic nolapic linux acpi=off linux noapic acpi=off or combinations of?
