Hi all,

I installed 2007.0 Metisse from /contrib/backports:

1. urpmi metisse

2. change /etc/sysconfig/compositing-server:

COMPOSITING_SERVER_START=yes
COMPOSITING_SERVER=Xmetisse

3. change /etc/sysconfig/compositing-wm:

COMPOSITING_WM_START=yes
COMPOSITING_WM=metisse-start-fvwm

I tried this on two machines but on both it hangs during boot-up (both machines boot until the gnome-splash-screen and the first icon (desktop) show up and than nothing happens any more).

I would really like to try this great desktop.... Any ideas?

Only changing the settings for metisse to 'no' gets me to GNOME again.

Thanx.
