Guest Jarhead
Hello, I have a drive with FreeBSD running on it and want to make a backup of it. I have tried to mount it in Mandriva 2007 but it fails to mount. I am totally new to linux and am probably doing something wrong so if anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate it. I tried backing it up in windows using norton ghost but as I thought, it didnt even recognize the drive. Thanks for any help.
jlc
FreeBSD uses UFS2 for a file system. ufs-linux is really old and hasn't been updated for a couple years, plus it is only read.....support http://ufs-linux.sourceforge.net/ Do you have only one pc at home? Is FreeBSD/Linux/Windows all on the same box? If so, FreeBSD can mount fat32/ntfs and you can write to it. http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/bsd/2000/07/05...BSD_Basics.html Edited December 16, 2006 by jlc
