I am used to move 1 word left or right using these combinations, and now, after fresh install of Mandrake 2007 Free these do not work. Not in OpenOffice, not in KOffice, not in Firefox as I am writing this text now. Now it may seem like a minor annoyance, but I am working as a professional translator and moving few words forward or back is what I do all the time... So the annoyance is actually quite major. Running KDE desktop (but the problem is not limited to KPrograms), install was clean install, just few days ago, even without old /home being brought over.
