Guest josetann
Just got my laptop in, was hoping 9.1 final would be out by now but no joy :( So I figured I'd install Cooker instead since final is probably just days away, and then upgrade to final (I like doing clean installs, but I figure something this close to final would upgrade fine, am I right?). Anyways, I found info on how to make a bootable Cooker iso, but the Cooker directory won't fit on one cd will it? So how do I split the packages up to put on multiple cd's? Are there some pre-made iso's of a recentCcooker somewhere? Would I just be better off installing a base system using the RC2 cd and then upgrade to Cooker? Thanks for the suggestions. aru
Remeber: Cooker is an experimental distribution, it's not for daily use! I suggest you to use the last RC instead of cooker Having said that, to install a Cooker, you need to create the images your self. First create a local cooker mirror in your HD. Then use the mkcds script placed in the /misc dir of the mirror to generate the ISO files. Burn the CDs and install. However there are some mirrors which have cooker pre-made isos.
