Mark R.
xine doesn't seem to recognize the codecs I install. I put them in /usr/lib/codecs like I've seen in other posts, and I checked .xine/config to make sure the path was right to the codecs. When I try to play wmv9 file I get a message: Missing Windows Media 9 codec btw, I put codecs in /usr/lib/win32 too for good measure Edited December 6, 2006 by Mark R. ianw1974
Did you download and install the codecs manually? If so, you didn't need to do that. I would remove the directories, and do it correctly with: urpmi win32-codecs far better. Try not to do things manually, use urpmi, and if you don't have your easyurpmi sources set up yet, visit the link at the top of this page. It gives you access to over 15,000 apps! No need to download manually, and no need to compile! :P
