hirohitosan
I discovered another small problem on my Mandriva. I tried to use the Phosphor screen saver and an error message appear. I saw the same error message at the FlipText screen saver. Also in the previous version of the Phosphor screen saver it was possible to configure from Options button a program to be run. Now there are less options. Have anyone else has the same problem, or just me? Thanks [moved from Software by spinynorman]
tyme
Mind providing us with the error message the appears? If we know the error it's a lot easier to figure out what's wrong...
hirohitosan
When I try to start the Phosphor Screen saver the following text appear on the screen: Unrecognized character \xEF at /usr/bin/xscreensaver-text line 60 (#1) (F) The Perl parser has no idea what to do with the specified character in your Perl script (or eval). Perhaps you tried to run a compressed script, a binary program or a directory as a Perl program. Uncaught exception from user code: Unrecognized character \xEF at /usr/bin/xscreensaver-text line 60. at \xEF at /usr/bin/xscreensaver-text line 60 but if I run from a console: /usr/lib/xscreensaver/phosphor -program 'cat text.txt' everything works fine. I mean on the screen appear the text from the file text.txt Any idea what to do?
