Guest apachee98
Hi, just got the new 2007 and installed it. Love it, My problem is I am new to linux and dont know jack about how to install drivers or anything else. I have an PNY Nvidia FX 5500. I cant figure out for the life of me how to install the drivers for it so I can use the new 3d. All i get is no 3D support. TheNvidia site tells me to type it in the run box and walla it should work. I did and nothing happened. Is there anyone who can help me out. I love this whole new world of linux and i need somewhere to start. Or someone to teach me how to install. Please a newbie needs help Thanks
pmpatrick
Check out this howto: https://mandrivausers.org/index.php?showtopic=4567 It's a little dated but the procedure is basically the same.
Guest DoK
go to easy-urpmi (link on the title of teh page) and configure PLF sources. When done you should run urpmi dkms-nvidia That's about all.
