oshunluvr Posted October 30, 2006 Report Share Posted October 30, 2006 After launching and trying to quit kdetv (it won't), all the "drakes" wouldn't launch. What was happening is if I click on the icon in the menu the program loading box appears in the panel as usual, the hourglass whirls around for a minute or so, then disappears. Launching from the konsole as normal user just sits there. As superuser from the konsole, they launch fine. HOWEVER, A reboot fixes the problem.The issue seems to relate to launching kdetv and the subsequent crashing of same. This is happening everytime I try and launch kdetv. It either locks up when you try to quit or kded crashes. Restarting X doesn't fix the problem either. I'm just now learning about backtracing, but the crashing seems to occur from kded.
