oshunluvr
During my latest 2006 install - many upgraded packages and so on...somewhere along the way launching any of the "drakes" from kmenu will not work. They all worked fine at initial install. I can open a konsole and as superuser launch no problem, but trying it as regular users results in nothing. arctic
Please type the draktools as normal user from the command line. It will hopefully give you some feedback why the tools refuse to start correctly.

What was happening is if I click on the icon in the menu the program loading box appears in the panel as usual, the hourglass whirls around for a minute or so, then disappears.Launching from the command line as normal user just sits there. HOWEVER, A reboot fixed the problem. The issue seems to relate to launching kdetv and the subsequent crashing of same. This is happening everytime I try and launch kdetv. It either locks up when you try to quit or kded crashes. Restarting X doesn't fix the problem either. I'm starting a new thread...
arctic
If this continues, you should report a bug to Mandriva.
