Backups using drakbackup

I used this backup tool earlier this year and again yesterday. One thing I noticed both times is that the file which lists backed up files, is always empty for one of the users, pete. The corresponding file for other users and for sys contain the lists of backed up files.

 

The *.tar.gz files all contain information, so I think pete's files are being backed up, just the llist is not being made.

 

I have looked around quite a bit but cannot find a explantion why this would occur. Is it possible that pete, who is the heaviest user of the system, has too many files and that is causing the problem? Is it safe to backup without the txt file containing information?

 

I am still using mdk 10.1 but would like to upgrade to 2007 as soon as I get a new hard drive and maybe a new computer as well, sometime soon.
