Sofware to compare text/code files

Dose anyone know of any software that can look at two files (text/code) and tell you what has changed (if that makes any sence at all :oops: )

 

file A is the origanal, file B is someone elses updated copy of file A, i just want to find out what they have added, or modified

There was a tool in KDE, kdiff or something... I prefer using Emacs for this. It has a tool for comparing two or three text files. The differences are highlighted, you can move changes from one file to another if you like...
