Guest SnOwFoRcE
When trying to install either Mandrake 9 or Redhat8, I get a kernel panic at the same time, when its trying to detect pcmcia cards. I´m using a Compaq Presario 900 Series Laptop. There is no PCMCIA Card in the slot. Using the "linux nopcmcia" command has no effect. Then I tried der RC2 but there´s the same error, but I´m able to install the system with the "noauto" command. What´s the problem? pmpatrick
It appears to be a hardware compatability issue. The "noauto" command stops the PCMCIA autodetect which is apparently what is hanging up the install.
