Guest dturley
My wireless link works fine for awhile, then the connection drops, CPU usage goes to 100% and I see these entries in the log: Mar 5 18:34:02 localhost kernel: eth0: error -110 reading info frame. Frame dropped. Mar 5 18:34:02 localhost kernel: hermes @ 0x100: Timeout waiting for command completion. Mar 5 18:34:04 localhost kernel: hermes @ 0x100: Error -16 issuing command. The last one is repeated ad infinitum. I have to do: service pcmcia restart to get it going again. The process sucking all the CPU cycles is ksoftirqd_CPU0 Madrake 8.2 Linksys WPC11 card Any ideas? Guest dturley
Can you be more specific? I've got the stock 8.2 kernal. Exactly what am I looking for in a new kernal to fix this? Thanks.
Guest ndeb
ftp://www.math.utah.edu/pub/linux/Mandrak...pdates/8.2/RPMS I am not sure if that will fix ur problem. But it is always a good idea to apply all updates first before u investigate a problem.
