Guest akito85
I read the installing tutorial here but still cant solve my problem. Im using seagate ST3808110AS (sata II), NVIDIA nForce4 ultra 939, AMD Athlon 64 +3200. When I was trying to install there was an error message said that "loading module sata_nv failed", I thought this problem happened because mandriva chose the wrong driver for my hdd furthermore I tried to chose other sata drivers (sata_mv, sata_sis, sata_promise, etc) but still it couldnt work. Mandriva installation drove me crazy, so I turned off my computer. Before I turned my com, I was trying another way. I pressed F1 button and customized the installation. I chose this options "vgahi noauto alt0". I chose noauto because I wanted to use the proper driver for SATA II but I couldnt find it. Tnx for your assisstance.
