vixenk
I'm running Mandriva 2006 with KDE 3.4.2 and I have two questions regarding how to make changes in the KDE desktop environment: 1. How do you resize the taskbar? It's just a bit to bulky for me, and in Mandrake 10 you could resize it, but I can't seem to find that option any where in this version. 2. How do you get rid of those big, annoying balloons that pop up to tell you what a button is on the taskbar every time your mouse hovers over them? *example: hovering over K Menu gives you a balloon saying, "K Menu Click here to browse and start applications"* I apologize ahead of time if these are covered in the forum FAQs... I read them over but couldn't seem to find the answers to these questions. ***EDIT*** I found the answer to #1 :) , but I still can't figure out how to get rid of the balloons. :( [moved from Software by spinynorman]
spinynorman
Welcome to the board. :) Right click on the panel; select Panel Menu - Configure Panel - Layout. Select the Arrangement tab to change the size; select the Appearance tab to disable the icon mouseover effects...

AussieJohn
Darn, I tried to answer with the same message but kept getting an error message. I must have been trying to post it the same time as yours. :D :D
