Smartistic
I downloaded the NVIDIA 1.0-7667 driver package. unfortunately there is no kernel interface for the driver in the nvidia site nor my system. The intstallation wizard stated that i should make sure that the kernel source packages or libraries are intalled and they were installed it asked me to type the path name. i would like to know if they are installed or not, how do i know and if not how can i get them (i tried system->configuration->packaging->installing software i searched for kernel sources i got no results) please help
ianw1974
The easiest way is to do this: urpmi kernel-source from a terminal prompt. This will then ask for three options. Don't choose the stripped or multimedia one, so that leaves kernel-source-2.6-2.6.12.12mdk. Select this one, and then you'll be ready to install the drivers.
