mini
I'm running Mandriva 2006 Power Pack edition on AMD 64 processor. I've installed win32-codecs from plf and tried to play some .wmv files with mplayer (mplayer-1.0-1.pre7.12.1.20060mdk.x86_64). Unfortunately it didn't work. I removed win32-codecs package then and manually installed win32 codecs from http://www.mplayerhq.hu/ site. I've tried both essential and all package with the same negative effect. It looks like my mplayer doesn't recognize installed win32 library at all. Maybe it's the same issue as with 64bit firefox and 32 flash plugin which are not compatible. Anyone experiencing the same problem?
devries
You need the 32 bits mplayer version (just as you need a 32 bit browser to use 32 bits plugins)
mini
I feared I would hear this answer. It's a bit of haslle to install 32 bit packages when all my urpmi media are pointing to 64 bit repositories. But I'll try. Thanks for help.
