ianw1974
Does it happen everytime you run Gnome? I've noticed an error message the very first time I ran Gnome, but it's been perfectly fine since then. First, I would check that gnome-control-center is installed, so open a terminal prompt and type: su (supply root password when prompted) urpmi gnome-control-center if it says already installed, then that's fine, just reboot, and log back in and see if you get the error message again. I would be attempted to install the updates for your system. You can do this through one of the menu options, I forget which since I use KDE mostly. But look through the menus for "Mandriva Update", and then apply all update to the system, be it normal/security/bug fixes. Post back how you got on! ianw1974
That's OK. You can go into the Software Install application, and then change to the All option, and then make sure that gnome-control-center is installed. If you type in gnome in the box and click search, it'll find all the entries that match it. The other alternative, is to type this command to verify if installed: whereis gnome-control-center gnome-control-center: /usr/bin/gnome-control-center that's the output I get on my system.
