chalex20
Read this thread : https://mandrivausers.org/index.php?showtopic=28962&st=15 MDE site includes instructions about adding it as a repository and installing the RPMS.
AussieJohn
Chalex20 makes a lot of good sense. There is no real point in trying to install the tar packages of KDE3.5 when the rpms from Thac and friend are so readily available and have been seriously worked on to make them as stable as possible. Sure you will learn from doing tar installs but it is best to learn the simpler things before diving into the deep end, unless you are a masochist of course. Enjoy your Mandriva as you learn. Don't try to learn and then hope to enjoy Mandriva. Cheers. John.
