tyme
the errors appear to be looking for the dvd in your dvdrom drive. if the dvd isn't there, then this is perfectly normal :). It's odd that it looks at 4 different cdrom devices, unless you have 4 or cdrom1-4 all point to the same place, but it's not really something to be too concerned about. What you could do, since the dvd isn't really much use once you have all your urpmi sources set up (specifically "main", as this contains all the packages available on cd IIRC) you can safely remove it from your sources, so it will stop trying to check for it. null
ok, i was pretty new to mandriva & urpmi, so I wasn't sure. At first, when I used urpmi to install something, it would prompt me to put in the Ultimate Linux Desktop DVD in the drive. Then it stopped asking for the DVD, and showed those messages. Now I am on yet another reinstall of mandriva, have done the easy-urpmi thing again, and it is working great now.
