Guest lunik Posted December 16, 2005 Report Share Posted December 16, 2005 Hi : I have buy a new hard disk. In old hard drive i had installed some partitions (Win Xp, Mandriva 2006,...). I used a ghost software to copy disk to new disk, and i resized a partitions. When a boot y get a 99999999 mensage. I tried to boot with Mandriva 2006 cd... but i dont get resintall lilo in First sector of boot partition ( i tried mount partitions... but when exec lilo i obtain several errors : dont fing lilo.conf, etc) Since I do? thanks, Lunik Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

lavaeolus Posted December 16, 2005 Report Share Posted December 16, 2005 have you tried to boot with the rescue option ? there is an option to reinstall the bootloader if this does not work or give an error-message you could try to mount your partitions while in the rescue mode then in the console type chroot /mnt and then lilo maybe this works Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
