theYinYeti
Typical usage: $ ./configure ... ERROR: DBD/SQLite2.pm was not found. exit. $ With urpmf, I would then run: $ urpmf '/SQLite2\.pm$' But with Smart, how can I find which not yet installed package provides a missing file? Yves. chalex20
You do something like the following : [root@linux alex]# smart query --path='*/DBD/SQLite.pm' Loading cache... Updating cache... ######################################## [100%] perl-DBD-SQLite-1.09-2mdk@i586
theYinYeti
Thank you chalex20, I'll have to try that. Yves.
guppetto
Why not run smart --gui from the command line or run dialog, click on the search icon when the gui pops up, enter the name of the file you want to search for and click the seach icon to the right of the text box. The command line is a favorite of mine as well, but the gui works just as well. :D
theYinYeti
Because Smart is slow on my PII 350 with 192MB RAM, and Smart --gui is *very* slow -same machine-. I'll have to try and tweak the options, as suggested on Smart's homepage. Yves.
