photoworks
i installed skype 1.2.0.18 using MCC PACKAGE INSTALLATION and when i encounterd a problem with the sound device, following the advice from the skype forum, i tried to uninstall it with MCC PACKAGE REMOVAL in order to install the version 1.1.020 1- when i try to install version 1.1.020, it tells me that the packages are already installed. 2 - when i looked in installed packages, i can still see skype 1.2.0.18, so apparently it has not been uninstalled. however, when i try to launch it, it says that skype command is not found. Anyone can help me please to fix this issue. [moved from Everything Linux by spinynorman]

riseringseeker
Just a guess, but was this on an HP laptop? I was just at the skype website, and the current there is 1.2.0.18 - where are you getting the .20 version, a club mirror?
