Guest snowwall
Hello All Becomming nuts ... trying to install the ACPI on my laptop ... Well actually quite old but firmware and everything is up to date ... As soon as i lauch linux acpi=force, the system starts and then stops with the famous "critical Temperature Reached (17C), System Shutting down". I can't get the file where this critical temp is configured ... I have seen several post ... but none helps ... Since i deleted all my MS partitions, i do not want to be back to Windows ... how ever i can not stay with the fan always on ... it drains down my battery in a few minutes .... Thinking of installing Mac OS X ;-) Thanx if anyone can help. i am brand new on linux ... Have a nice day all !!! Cheers, Arno
aioshin
I notice on my box in the BIOS portion that there is an option that you let the system shutdown when it reached the certain level of temperature, try to check if that can be resolved thru your bios ..
