ianw1974
I receive the following information in my /var/log/boot.log Nov 2 16:03:59 mandriva python: Site list is missing: mailman Nov 2 16:03:59 mandriva python: Nov 2 16:03:59 mandriva mailman: python startup failed and also, when I sign into the mailbox for user "mail", I get this displayed: Subject: Cron <mail@mandriva> /usr/bin/python -S /usr/lib/mailman/cron/mailpasswds Message Text: Site list is missing: mailman Is there anything I can do to stop this occurring. Do I need mailman? Reason I ask is I'm using postfix on the box and squirrelmail, so not sure whether I need mailman or not.
mini
mailman is a Mailing List Management System so you won't typically need it. It's not installed by default (at least it was not on my Mandriva 2006).
ianw1974
I think it was when I selected postfix and all the server stuff during initial installation that it probably ended up there. So far, I've just disabled the service, but I'll remove if I don't need it. Many thanks :P
