Guest crickert
I've been looking for a wav recording piece of software that is better than the default on 9.0? On sourceforge, I've found Audacity, Ardour, and Rezound. Has anyone used these on mdk 9? I've tried getting Audacity installed by both rpm and source and the RPM on rpmfind.net has some dependencies I can't seem to resolve and going with the source, it fails to find WxWindows(WkGtk) when I ./configure, eventhough I have installed WxGTK. So next up was Ardour, and this seems a little bloated for me. I haven't even tried installing it because it looks like an install nightmare. Anyone got a take on this? What might be the easier one to get going. Is there a different one I didn't list?
Guest jwl
http://lulu.esm.rochester.edu/kevine/turnkey/home.html That link will install several pieces of music recording software onto a stock MDK9 installation. It's designed to get everything going with a single script. It was developed by a music school. It has ardour in it, among other things. I don't have any experience with it, but it looks great.
