Aomighty
Hey, I've been experimenting with the various lightweight WM's and so far, I'm most impressed with XFCE. Anyway, how can I mix the sound so that I can play amaroK or XMMS at the same time as Firefox playing a flash movie and still get sound? On KDE I can do "artsdsp [command]" but that doesn't seem to work. Is there another sound wrapper I could use, maybe? devries
Use Mandriva le 2005. Mandriva default setings use dmix. :)
Aomighty
Do you know how to setup dmix? Last time I used LE 2005, it didn't work that way by default for some reason, but regardless I'm using Debian. I'll bet the way to configure it is mostly the same. devries
Setting up dmix is a pain. Better use google and search for a asoundrc for your soundcard. Or use the latest verson of alsa. It has dmix turned by default too. :)
Aomighty
Ok, well I guess I'll just use KDE and arts as asoundrc didn't work correctly. Thanks for the help, it's the effort that counts :).
