Guest HowHigh Posted August 26, 2005 Report Share Posted August 26, 2005 i have downloaded 3 cds with linux mandrake community 10. i have installed them but when it asked me for cd4 i selected cancel because i didn't download that cd and i couldn't find it on odc. when i boot normally it stops at : " booting system... press esc for verbose mode" and the loading bar freezes at a quarter. when i boot the next option under linux it's stops here: Welcome to M L 10.0 press i to enter interactive startup mounting sysfs on sys OK running DevFs daemon OK unmounting inited OK configuring kernel parameters OK _ " and the cursor stays there and the system freezes. this is the first time i install linux so take it easy on me :) the installation partition is 4,5gb and the swap partition is 500mb Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
