:help:

I've tried installing Mandrake but I just don't get it. I first tried with version 8.2 and worked fine but it didn't recognized my sound card and modem so i tried a newer version.

When I tried to install version 9.1, the instalation program didn't loaded !? It booted from the cd fine but when the kernel starts to load it simply blanks the screen and stops (hangs). Versons 9.2 and 10.0 are doing the same thing.

I have a network card witch I do not use (I have no network) so I disable it software from BIOS. I tried installing Mandrake with the network card enebled and

I get the same result.

My current configuration:

-Mainboard: ECS K7VMM

-Network Card: Realtek (on-board)

-Sound Card: AC 97 (on-board)
