aRTee Posted February 8, 2003 Report Share Posted February 8, 2003 If u do not have (or don't want) hdparm then simply run cat /proc/ide/hdc/settings to know if /dev/hdc is using DMA and what DMA mode it is using. I thought this too, but actually, that command (file really) doesn't show the proper info anymore if you don't have hdparm installed....... Try and you will see, just deinstall hdparm and run it.
