fissy
Fairly sure rfbdrake only shares existing sessions, you could add it to your kde/gnome session so it starts when they start, but you'd still have to login first. You can auto login users, but depending on your setup, it may be a bad idea.
MandrakeNewbie
I think I would like it to startup with gnome and will set it up to auto login as an id. Do you know where I can tell the system to launch rfbdrake with gnome?
fissy
I'm not at a mandrake machine and can't remember off-hand how it works in detail. You can normally do most of the things you need with drak tools in a console. rfbdrak --help may be of some use.
MandrakeNewbie
I found another posting on this forum that says to add to the desktop's AutoStart folder. In my case it is the kde/AutoStart folder. There are not any instructions on what to name the file nor did "rfbdrake --help" give me much to go by....seemed like every additional parm I ran with it onlyh started up the Remote Access Configuration window (the same one that displays when I laucnch it through the desktop menu system). I would imagine I could create a file (if I knew what to name it) in the KDE/AutoStart folder and have it fire up rfbdrake with all the parameters like type of control (server) and setting the password. The I could have an auto login for a given id. Any ideas on how to compose the file? I will surf some more for command line syntax on rfbdrake. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TO LAST POST I think I may have found an answer. I found this post http://hulllug.principalhosting.net/archiv...hp/t-18640.html where they were discussing how to autostart rfbdrake. I will give it a try tomorrow.
