Guest Seemawnae
Hello guys! I connected two computers (server with linux and client with windows xp) and I tried to share the connection. I think I configured mandrivia and the lan properly because it's possible to ping each other. Then, to share the connection I wrote (as root) these two lines : echo 1 >/proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o ppp0 -j MASQUERADE The connection seems to be shared correctly but on the pc with xp I can't see nothing else but google' site (and his searches, so this means connection reaches this computer). It's the same thing wether I use firefox or Internet Explorer or other browser I can only visualize google' site. Can you help me? Thank you very much anyway :)
streeter
Can you reach, say www.cisco.com? If not, can you reach it by typing 198.133.219.25 in to the browser address bar? Can you ping the Cisco site (or any other website for that matter) from XP? Again, by name and then IP address. Chris
