flarefox
When I run kaffeine, try to change my clock from 24 hour to 12 hour format, and randomly other various things (thought most others seem to fix themselves, kaffeine and the clock are the only ones that don't), it pops up an error saying it's unable to initialize the player for kaffeine and just shows the playlist. It says it can't find the .desktop file. I have no idea where to look or I'd do it myself. I tried running it from the command line: $ kaffeine and it still says the same thing. I have no clue what's going wrong. I thought it might be kde 3.3, so I updated to 3.4 and the problem is still there (though there are several nice enhancements in 3.4). Can anyone help me? ~Dee
scarecrow
"unable to initialize the player" means that the xine engine is not properly configured. This is done via "settings - xine engine parameters".
