ianw1974
What version of Mandrake/Mandriva are you running? If LE2005, then you can go into Configure My Desktop, and within Components, and Components Chooser, you can set the Default Browser here. If you have Mandrake 10.1 or previous, there are a few things you need to do. First, go into Components and File Associations, and set HTML, etc, etc, etc to the browser you want. Then after this, run gnome-default-applications-properties, set the default browser in here to the one you want (this is relevant even if not running Gnome!). If you can't run this, it means you need to install gnome-control-center. This can be done with urpmi gnome-control-center. Hope that helps!
