I have just installed a 10.1 installation that open an xsession on startup ad display some picuters (yep a two week installation with a lot of small problems dues to my unskillness).

Now i would like that this machine is able to survive to powerloss (because no interactivity is possible, so the shutdown is brutal!).

If I have hunderstood an ext3 or reiserfs filesystem will help.

I have tryed to modify the fstab file to mount partition readolny, and althought the mount reflects the state, i can still write to the disk (my application don't write to the disk).

So I need help on how to disable the startup autocheck of the disks (to check if get corrupiton).

I need also to know how to disable all the loggings and so procuderen i don'tneed in startup.

And at last i need to know how to really mount the filesystems as readolny.

It is possible to confiure the system to use a ramdrive for logging purposes?

P.S. the machine probably will not get powerlossed everyday, but i must check anycase!
