Mandrake is unable to find the correct driver for it. in the hardware manager it is showing the correct sound card but i am unable to hear the sound. if i try with kmix there is always cross mark on the sound icon. And also alsa mixer is not able to run and give some strange error message. error from the alsa alsamixer: function snd_ctl_open failed for default: No such device and also when i start my kde i have error like unable to start sound server /dev/dsp is not found (this is not the exact error message but something similar ) Also i have another problem i.e. apci power management module is not working. so please help me out from this things thanks in advance vinay Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you don't get a response after a couple of days, just post briefly in the same thread to get back to the top of the heap.
