Xnomad
I can't stop tinkering with my new Linux installation. :D I'm finding that my audigy sound card doesn't get as loud as it does under windows. In windows I can turn it up so that it hurts my ears in Mandriva I can't. I put full volume on whatever programme I'm running, be it Kaffeine or Amarok but it's just not loud enough. I've gone into kmix and increased the volume there too but it's not hurting my ears. Any ideas?
Xnomad
Never mind, I've sorted it out. I ran alsamixer and pumped up the pcm values I'm on headphones at the moment so I wasn't getting the full channels coming through, now my ears are really sore as I was using AC/DC to try it out.
