Urza9814
Hey, I just installed, via urpmi, xdosemu and freedos, and I went to try to run Fantasy General with it, and it runs, but it runs very slowly and the mouse/screen scrolling is very jerky. Anyone know how I can fix that? [moved from Software by spinynorman]
adamw
It's generally much, much faster to run outside X. Try going to the first vconsole (ctrl-alt-F1) and running it with dosemu -V -k then run the game from there, see if it's better.
Lärs
Changing the hogthreshold might help. Try playing with the speed variable, it makes every difference. speed xx where xx stands for a percentage between 1 and 100. Don't do 100, heh. I use 20 or 25, and if something runs a lil slower than I need sometimes I increase it to about 50. It makes a tremendous difference in the lower percentages, separating a game from being playable or unplayable, in my experience.
