lots of problems with kde 3.2

OK im having quite a few problems which include konqueror not opening anything 99% of the time and my removable usb flash drives not automounting also when i log in kde sometimes there will be no cdrom icon when i have a cdrom in the drive also sometimes the usb drives show up even when they are not plugged in.I figured by reading other posts i just needed to update the urpms but i get errors when i try to do it in "configure media" (im trying to do it through cd):

so i tried to do it through konsole:

so the way to update your media is by pointing your browser towards http://www.mandrakeusers.org/easyurpmi (it's the link at the top of this forum). pick your distro and hardware, then mirrors. you'll get the commands to add the new mirrors. copy and then (literally in konsole) paste the commands right in. works everytime.

 

on the easy urpmi site there is a note to do a 'urpmi.removemedia -a ". this can be handy if you always want to get your software from mirrors and not the discs afterwards. another easyurpmi site is http://easyurpmi.zarb.org/.
