Guest Farrell Posted April 21, 2005 Report Share Posted April 21, 2005 (edited) I am trying to install Mandrake to my harddrive on a HP Pavalion 0750 desktop. When I try to install mandrake 10.1 I first boot from the cd. When mandrake begins to unarcive the machine returns me to the builtin HP menu. ??? Not the bios but the internal menu. adolfix Posted April 22, 2005 Report Share Posted April 22, 2005 I would say that your BIOS is not properly configurated to install Mandrakelinux. Verify if the configuration of the PNP OS installed parameter is set on NO. Otherwise it will not allow you to install Mandrakelinux but only windows OS. Could you tell us which is processor and the RAM capacity on your PC ? Verify also if the parameters : - Boot Sequence or First boot device is fixed for the CD on the BIOS. - Paralle port is on ECP+EPP or at least on of the two if you want to use a local printer Bye Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
