Guest mrwink03
well, my problem seems so simple, yet i am still stumped. i am trying to create a small partition at the front of my HD to use as the boot partition. i'm using partition magic 8 to do this. when i restart my computer to implement the changes, i get an error saying that partition magic can't edit my master boot record because an anti-virus program is protecting it. i have norton anti-virus installed, but i can't figure out how to get past this problem. any help would be much appreciated. adamw
it's a BIOS setting. It'll be called MBR Virus Protection or something like that, just look around your BIOS till you find it.
aioshin
try to disable first your norton antivirus, edit its config not to run during start-up, and also check your bios if it does have an antivirus feature, disable it....
