bb002
I have a Dell Latitude CP laptop, obviously. The cd-rom drive is unable to properly read burned cds, The laptop boots off of the the cds but after I am asked the boot method (only cdrom is an option) it "hangs" in trying to acces cdrom. The CDROM continually spins up then back down again and no progress is made. Also I know these cds are valid because i used them to install mandrake on 3 different computers and i have reinstalled it one of them just to make sure the cds are still ok. Since i can't do a cd install, I was wondering if there is a way for me to boot off of some floppies to activate the Xircom Ethernet/Modem PCMCIA card and preform a internet install. Any help, pointers, or stupid looks would be appreciated.
