Guest Stark
I just upgraded (clean install) to Mandrake 10.1 from 10.0 (both offical) and since then my opengl games have had really low fps (110fps in glxgears). I figured permission issue with dri because I was getting this error: libGL error: failed to open DRM: Operation not permitted libGL error: reverting to (slow) indirect rendering So I did some reading and I added... Section "DRI" Mode 0666 EndSection ...to my xorg.conf and now when I run any opengl programs I get nothing but a black screen. Running as root has the same effect. My config is exactly the same as the one in Mandrake 10.0 except for one line which gave me a load error every time I started X so I took it out. Load "/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.a" Anyone have any suggestions? Your feedback in greatly appreciated.

DragonMage
You said upgrade right? Not clean install? What is the Video chipset used in that toshiba laptop? You may need to reinstall the proprietary driver (if any) for that particular chipset.
Guest Stark
No no.. I completely removed 10.0 and the boot loader and installed 10.1. As for the chipset.. it is the Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME. I a tried the linux driver rpm for it but it was made for Mandrake 10.0 and not 10.1.
