Guest plduus
I am having problems installing Mandrake 10.1 PPC on Mac OS X. My Mac is a PowerBook G4 17 inch with 512MB RAM and 80GB Harddrive. The problem is how to create an Apple Bootstrap partition that will work using the Mandrake 10.1 PPC partitioning tool, this should enable Mandrake 10.1 PPC to doubleboot with Mac OS X. There seems to go something wrong when reaching the point were the boot loader is to be installed, this simply won't work, I have tried 6 times in all. My guess is that it could be a mount problem, but what should the Apple Bootstrap be mounted as??? I also tried to use a PReP Boot partition instead, but couldn't make that work either. This could be because a setenv needs to done first, anyone have any sugestions??? I use 7MB for the Apple Bootstrap partition, 1 GB for a swap partition and 25 GB for the / partition(root), so it should work but sadly doesn't. If anyone has experience on the subject and knows how to do this correctly then please reply to this post or the listed E-Mail address.
