Guest dewey316 Posted March 16, 2005 Report Share Posted March 16, 2005 Hello, I've tried installing both MNF and SNF on a spare PC, it is very basic, GA-5AX main board, K6-2 processor, 128mb RAM, 4.3gb HD, CD-ROM, and 3 NICs. Everything installs just fine, from both products. When It goes to boot for the fisrt time, it gives me an output as follows Li 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 . . . and just keeps churning 01 out. I changed the HD setup in the BIOS, to use the non-LBA configuration, I re-installed, and made sure I did not use LBA support when doing the formating. This time, on reboot it gets to. Lil and just freezes up, I tried this with multiple HD's, and get the same actions from all the HD's I tried. I have gone into rescue mode, and re-install Lilo, and tried to repair Lilo. I get no diffrent effect. It either freezes after outputing Lil, or it churns out numbers indefinatly. Hopefully someone here will have some insight, as to what might be causing this.
