Guest JayRx1981
I'm having problems installing Mandrake 10.1 on my system. I'm currently running an Athlon64 3000+ processor, an MSI Neo-FSR (with a VIA K8T800 chipset), radeon 9800 pro graphics card, and 1.5GB of ram. My problem is that I'm trying to install Mandrake to my Samsung SATA hard drive. Every time I boot up the install CD, it reaches the point of installing the VIA SATA drivers and just hangs. If I run it with the noapic or noacpi options, the install program doesn't detect the drive at all. I've checked the BIOS and I don't see an ACPI option in it. What's going on and how can I get Mandrake to install the via driver properly without freezing?
