Guest iomicifikko
hi all, this is my first message in this forum, i hope to find answers and to be helpful;) i have a few questions about restoring a linux system. i use to create an image of a working system, so i can restore it quickly without having to reinstall and config everything (i use an acronis trueimage disc). the problem is if i try to "put back" the image ina different partition, i dunno too many things about linux, so i dunno if its possiblle and which kind of files i have to edit. i mean, im sure that i have to "update" the lilo config file and the fstab file (couse for example the "/" mount point is changed), but are there any other files with info on partition tables that need to be config again? thanks in advance and sorry for my english, bye! Cannonfodder
As long as you update your fstab and boot manager and the mount folders exists, you should be all set..
