hi all, this is my first message in this forum, i hope to find answers and to be helpful;)

i have a few questions about restoring a linux system.

i use to create an image of a working system, so i can restore it quickly without having to reinstall and config everything (i use an acronis trueimage disc). the problem is if i try to "put back" the image ina different partition, i dunno too many things about linux, so i dunno if its possiblle and which kind of files i have to edit.

i mean, im sure that i have to "update" the lilo config file and the fstab file (couse for example the "/" mount point is changed), but are there any other files with info on partition tables that need to be config again?

thanks in advance and sorry for my english, bye!
