bb002
Does MandrakeLinux come with a md5 checksum app? if so, what is it? If it is not installed by default what package do i need to install? If Mandrake does not have one at all. where can i find one? Thanks. nchancock
On my Mandrake 10.1, it came with a command line util called "md5sum" Its located at /usr/bin/md5sum I couldn't find what package it was contained in, but it seems pretty standard. Hope that helps.
bb002
Great Thanks a million! I think it comes default. I installed the bare minimum. I'm installing packages as i need them. bb002 = Linux noob; Man, I tried guessing at what "MD5 Checksum" might be called as an app. i had tried summd5, never even occurred to me to switch it around...
