Guest motomon Posted February 14, 2005 Report Share Posted February 14, 2005 Hello, I am kinda new under Linux but I just do not want to give up using it. The thing is that I have a Proxim Orinoco Silver Pc Card Model 8420-WD 802.11b. When using the cardctl ident I get: Agere Systems; Wireless PC Card Model 0110 The pcmcia service is working however when I insert the wireless card I get no sound, so I assume it is not recognized by Mdk. When I try to do this using the GUI MDK has, no driver can be loaded so right now I am kind of lost since I just do not know what else to do. I browsed and checked in Google and I found some guidance but all of them are for Kernel 2.2 or 2.4 version, and mine is 2.6 Please I am desperate since I need this card running ASAP and any help and guidance anyone might give will be completely appreciated.
